NucSafe has received its official certificate of compliance for the PUMA Stationary Systems for border control.
Two systems were tested. A truck / bus monitor that has 2 2500cm 2 PUMA panels for neutron detection and a 2"x4"x16" NaI detector for gamma ray detection.
The second system is a portal / passenger vehicle system with a single 2500cm2 PUMA panel for neutron detection and a 4"x4"x4" NaI detector for gamma ray detection.
Both systems performed well in the laboratory tests. The portal system using the latest SW had no false alarms and no missed alarms in its final tests. Both systems were tested in a single column orientation. A double column system is also available for both instruments.
